The answer to the question “what does Dns Jumper do?” is this: the application will help you change your default DNS (Domain Name System). And the answer to the question “why would I want to do so?” is this: by doing so you can experience faster browsing speeds, you can access blocked websites, you can improve security, and you can block access to adult content (if you use a family safe DNS). There is another reason why you would want to use Dns Jumper – it’s a lot easier than doing things manually.

Dns Jumper does not have to be installed. To get started with the application you need only download a small archive (less than 1MB in size) and then extract and run the Dns Jumper executable. The application will work on any Windows edition from Windows XP up to Windows 8.

All the functionality Dns Jumper has to offer is nicely presented on the interface. This is nice, as it allows you to easily get started with Dns Jumper. Another nice thing about the interface is that it provides support for multiple languages. The menu in the lower right hand corner allows you to choose between English, French, German, and several other languages.

Using Dns Jumper is a very simple 3-step process:
Step 1 – select a network adapter.
Step 2 – choose a DNS server. If you can’t make up your mind, you can use the Fastest DNS feature; as the name points out, it will find the fastest DNS.
Step 3 – apply the newly selected DNS. If you go for the Fastest DNS feature, you can apply the fastest DNS from this feature’s window.

If you’re not happy with your new DNS, you can easily revert to the default DNS. Just click the star icon in the upper right hand corner and select Default DNS or Restore DNS.
If you want to do things manually, you can manually enter a DNS address.
You can also use Dns Jumper to flush DNS and to look up IP addresses.

Dns Jumper is freeware. Cons:
None that I could think of.

Pros

Dns Jumper does not have to be installed, meaning it is portable. Support for multiple languages is provided. There’s nothing complicated about the interface. There’s a handy Fastest DNS feature. You can easily revert to the default DNS. You can look up IPs. Dns Jumper is freeware.

Cons

ider making a donation if you enjoy using this application or if you want to support its development. There’s much to like about Dns Jumper: it is portable, it is free, and it works as advertised!
